Bit more setting things up today. My suspicions about compressing the backup were correct, it took about 5 hours to compress it, but now the hard drive is formatted correctly and most of the stuff has been put back on it. Slowly downloading some games to play, waiting to put in the new SSD first. I have the SSD already, but I bought a new wifi card (because apparently this one doesn't like Linux; it's been working though and I probably don't need a new one, but they're cheap and this one has been having intermittent issues on Windows too) and need to open up my PC to install that too, so I might as well just wait for that to get here.

It's insane how many ways YouTube has of recommending Shorts to you that I had just forgotten about. They keep fucking popping up and I keep obliterating them with the element picker tool of the adblocker. I'm pretty sure the elements are also used for regular subscription stuff too but I frankly do not give a shit, fuck Shorts.
